Add a stamp

Stamp a page with APPROVED, DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL and the other built-in stamps, or a picture you keep.

A stamp puts a word such as APPROVED or DRAFT on a page, in capitals inside a border, like a rubber stamp.

Steps

  1. In the rail, choose Comment, then Stamp in the Stamps group.
  2. Drag a box on the page where the stamp should go.
  3. In the Choose a stamp window, pick a stamp, then choose Add stamp.

Good to know

  • The stamps are APPROVED, NOT APPROVED, DRAFT, FINAL, CONFIDENTIAL, FOR REVIEW, VOID and COPY. The words on the page are in English, as a rubber stamp's are, whatever language Monstera shows.
  • The stamp keeps its own shape inside the box you drew.
  • Each stamp has its own colour: green for APPROVED and FINAL, red for NOT APPROVED and VOID, blue for the rest. If you choose a colour in the Properties tab, every stamp uses that colour instead.
  • To keep a picture of your own as a stamp, choose Add a picture… in the Choose a stamp window and pick a PNG or JPEG of up to 2 MB. It appears under Your stamps from then on; pick it and choose Add stamp to place it. Remove … beside a picture takes it out of your stamps. Up to 16 are kept, on this computer only.
  • For a one-off picture you do not want to keep, use Image in the same group.
  • Undo with Ctrl+Z. To remove a stamp later, select it and press Delete.
