Why I Built Monstera

“I work with PDFs every day, and I grew tired of paying more monthly subscriptions just to have the tools I needed. So I decided to build my own PDF editor using AI tools. I wanted more than a free alternative, I wanted something that could genuinely match paid PDF editors in features and capability. After building Monstera and making it part of my own workflow, I realized it could be useful to many more people. So I decided to share it with you, completely free and open source. As you use Monstera PDF Editor in your everyday workflow, feel free to share your feedback, ideas and suggestions. Your input can help shape the future of Monstera. Together, we can make Monstera the best free and open source PDF editor.”
