The status bar runs along the bottom of the window. It shows where you are and lets you move and zoom quickly.
Steps
- To go to a page, type its number in the page field in the middle of the bar and press Enter. The buttons around it go to the First page, Previous page, Next page and Last page.
- To zoom, drag the Zoom level slider at the right end, or use the zoom buttons beside it, including Fit width and Fit page.
- Check the saved state: Unsaved changes, Saved, or how long ago it was saved.
Good to know
- While a tool is in your hand, the left end of the bar says what it does, and that Esc gets you out of it. It says nothing else there, and nothing at all when no tool is in your hand.
- The status bar also shows the number of pages and the file's size.
- If you type a page the document does not have, it says which pages it does have.
- The button in Panels and Float bar shows or hides the Float bar.
