Make a PDF with your camera

Take pictures with your webcam and turn them into a PDF.

You can use your computer's camera to photograph documents and make them into a PDF.

Steps

  1. In the rail, choose Tools, then From camera… in the Create group (New PDF from camera…).
  2. Hold the page in front of the camera and choose Take picture. Repeat for each page; Pictures taken: … counts them.
  3. Choose Make PDF, then choose where to save it. It opens in a new tab.

Good to know

  • The camera is on only while this window is open.
  • With no camera, Take picture is greyed out and the window says "No camera was found on this computer."
  • If Monstera is not allowed to use the camera, allow it in the Windows camera privacy settings.
  • To square up a photo taken at an angle afterwards, see "Crop photographed pages to the paper".
